Open from 11am to 5pm daily, our Cellar Door tasting room offers you the opportunity to try our current release wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Wine tasting at its best
Considered one of the best Cellar Door Martinborough experiences, Murdoch James Estate’s knowledgeable staff are always happy to discuss the wines with you so feel free to ask questions. Wine tasting is $5 per person and we’ll refund that on any 3 bottle purchase.
The Guided Wine Experience
For large groups wanting a little more than a basic taste, the Guided Wine Experience is a fully hosted tasting with discussions exploring why Martinborough is a leading New Zealand wine region, the uniqueness of Blue Rock Vineyard’s soils, climate and aspect, and offers information on wine making techniques as well as some great anecdotes and stories.
If you would like a more in-depth wine tasting experience that tours the vineyard, winery and barrel caves, you may like to join our Grape to Glass Tour which runs daily starting at 11.30am. Bookings are essential.
